Welcome to Our World!

Amanda and Amanda (from here on out referred to as Amanda2) have been working hard to get MommyJogger.com and the Mommy Jogger program launched!

Amanda2 have been friends for over 26 years. We grew up together in the very small town of Avon, New York and first remember being friends in 1st grade. Over the years, we've gotten in tremendous amounts of trouble together, all the while, laughing till we cry. More recently, our friendship has been reignited in our mutual love of running.

Amanda P. has been a life long runner, competing in distance events since Junior High School. She has run 4 marathons, many half marathons, and even more 10 and 5K events. Demonstrating her flexibility as a runner, she has won in her age group or placed in several of the shorter races. With the birth of her son in 2008, she's learned to tweak her schedule and is a real Mommy Jogger , pushing little Will in his jogging stroller all over the Jacksonville, Florida area.

Amanda D. is newer to the running field. Looking to escape the stresses of motherhood, Amanda took up the family sport of running 4 years ago. After boatloads of 5 and 10Ks, and then two half marathons, Amanda D. ran her first full 26.2 miler this January, right alongside her best friend Amanda P. Amanda D. has been able to realize the joys (and challenges) of Pregnancy Running, as she was 13 weeks pregnant during her marathon. Due in July, Amanda D. will soon be pushing the Jogger all over the Plano, Texas area!

  1. Wow, I am so jealous. I try to jog, but I feel like my knees are going to explode. That can't be a good thing!

Happy Saturday Sharefest from SITS! Have a great day, and don't forget to Spring Forward!

  2. That looks like a lot of fun. I have never been a runner. I need to do something though for sure!

  3. Happy Saturday Sharefest from SITS! I've run a couple marathons and a couple halfs, but am struggling to get back into running after the birth of #3 - he just turned 1! I was told not to get my heart rate up while pg so I stopped running. DUMB DUMB DUMB! Got bad advice from my OB and personal trainer!

Anyway, congrats on your new blog - and to Amanda D for finishing your first full!
